Comic books fans from around the world are descending on California this weekend as the San Diego Comic-Con gets underway. The event is one of the largest Comic-Cons in the world, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. This year marks the 50th anniversary for the SDCC, and the event celebrated the milestone with a special guest appearance from <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/uae/details-of-tom-cruise-s-dangerous-stunt-made-over-abu-dhabi-desert-revealed-1.736670">Tom Cruise</a>, who dropped the trailer for the new Top Gun: Maverick film, due out in 2020. SDCC 2019 will be hosting a number of panels across the weekend, with talks from stars of The Walking Dead, Rick and Morty and The Witcher.
