Antonio Banderas has officially beaten Covid-19.

The Spanish actor took to Twitter to announce that he has recovered from the coronavirus, along with a graphic of him kicking cartoon depictions of the virus.

"After 21 days of disciplinary confinement I can say now that today I overcame the Covid-19 infection. I am cured," wrote the 60-year-old actor. "My thoughts go to those who weren’t as fortunate as me, and to those who suffered more than I did. I also wish strength to the ones who are in the middle of the fight."

He wrote the caption in both English and Spanish.

The Pain and Glory actor announced that he had tested positive for Covid-19 on his 60th birthday, on August 10.

The Academy Award nominee, who is one of Spain’s most famous faces, told fans he was feeling “relatively well”, but was still celebrating his milestone birthday in quarantine.

He posted the news that he had tested positive to Covid-19 in Spanish, writing: "I want to make public the news that today, on August 10, I am celebrating my 60th birthday in quarantine, as I have tested positive for the coronavirus, Covid-19.

"I would also like to add that I’m feeling relatively well, only a little more tired than usual. I am confident that I will recover quickly by following medical advice, which I hope will allow me to overcome the virus that I am suffering from, and that is affecting so many people around the planet."

The message was posted alongside a photo of himself as a child.

Banderas is just one of a string of high-profile stars to have tested positive for Covid-19.

In March, actors Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were among the first Hollywood stars to contract the virus, along with Idris Elba, Daniel Dae Kim and singer Pink.

More recently, Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan and his actor son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai last week shared they had all recovered from the virus after spending much of July in hospital. Amitabh was in hospital for three weeks.

Have you been targeted?

Tuan Phan of SimplyFI.org lists five signs you have been mis-sold to:

1. Your pension fund has been placed inside an offshore insurance wrapper with a hefty upfront commission.

2. The money has been transferred into a structured note. These products have high upfront, recurring commission and should never be in a pension account.

3. You have also been sold investment funds with an upfront initial charge of around 5 per cent. ETFs, for example, have no upfront charges.

4. The adviser charges a 1 per cent charge for managing your assets. They are being paid for doing nothing. They have already claimed massive amounts in hidden upfront commission.

5. Total annual management cost for your pension account is 2 per cent or more, including platform, underlying fund and advice charges.
