According to Lebanese media reports, officials are investigating whether a major blast in Beirut on 04 Ausgust 2020 was caused by exploding Ammonium Nitrate that allegedly originated from the Rhosus vessel. Official reports stated that at least 100 people were killed and more than 4,000 injured after an explosion, reportedly caused by over 2,500 tons of ammonium nitrate stored in a warehouse, devastated the port area and parts of the city on 04 August.
