The Coordinating Office of UAE-funded Development Projects in Egypt inspected on Tuesday a number of projects implemented in Gharbiya governorate.
The delegation was accompanied by the Gharbiya governor, Maj Gen Mohammed Naeim, who thanked the UAE for its efforts to fund projects the common people.
Maj Gen Naeim said the projects include a bridge in Mahala that will serve 600,000 residents. Phase one is expected to be complete in five months.
Other projects include the construction of seven schools, as part of a larger plan to build a total of 100 schools across Egypt; three health care centres; and a desalination plant.
