DUBAI // A dual carriageway along the 12km Seih Assalam Road will be completed by the year-end, according to the Roads and Transport Authority.

Project work has reached 40 per cent for a two-lane motorway in each direction extending from Bab Al Shams hotel and the Dubai International Endurance City to the cycling rest area on Al Qudra Road.

The work is estimated to cost about to Dh69 million.

The RTA will undertake the second phase of the Seih Assalam Road of 20km from rest area to the Dubai – Al Ain Road.

This will be a key traffic corridor from the Dubai International Endurance City to Al Ain Road, or Al Qudra Road that passes over Emirates Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and runs through to Jumeirah, said Mattar Al Tayer, RTA’s director general.
