Paid parking timings in Abu Dhabi will be changed for the duration of Ramadan, the Department of Transport announced.

Motorists can park for free between 2pm and 9pm everyday. On Fridays, parking is free all day.

The split paid periods are 9am to 2pm and 9pm to 2.30am from Saturday to Wednesday.

On Thursdays, motorists will need to pay for parking from 9am to 2pm, then again from 9pm to midnight.

Worshippers attending Tarawih prayers will be exempt from Mawaqif fees in the parking bays surrounding mosques during prayer time, but cannot block traffic flow or other vehicles.

Bus timings will also be adjusted during the holy month, with the frequency dropping to one bus per hour after iftar for the following services: 111, 110, 102, 290, 190, 101, A10, A2, A1, 410, 216, 175, 011, 09, 08, 07, A40, A20, 063, 065, 056, 044, 026, 022, X5, X4, X3, X2, 069 and 067.
