DUBAI// A 59-year-old technician has been accused of biting the ear off a driver during an argument.

The Criminal Court heard that Pakistani A K was with his son when they became involved in an altercation with their compatriot F K, 30.

“My brother came to my house at 8pm on February 19 and told me that the son of A K had been insulting our mother and saying she was a bad woman who spends most of her time outside the house. He also told him that if he ever comes to Pakistan, he would kill him,” said F K.

F K said he went out to the street to confront A K’s son, where he was set upon.

“Before I could say anything, the defendant tried to assault me with a wooden stick but he couldn’t,” he said. “After which he grabbed me by the neck and bit me in the ear, cutting a part of it.”

Neighbours intervened and separated the pair, before calling the police.

The defendant denied the charges in court on Sunday.

“I don’t even know him. He might have caused that injury to himself,” said A K.

The next hearing will be on April 20.
