A man has been arrested in connection with a series of thefts from SUVs in Sharjah.
Col Abdul Razak Assad, the acting director of Sharjah CID, said the Iraqi man is accused of stealing the rear seats from 4x4 vehicles.
He was arrested in industrial area five after being followed by police.
"He tried to resist arrest and flee the scene but police managed to control him and arrest him," said Col Assad.
He urged the public to report anything suspicious to police by calling 999 or 06 5632222 or sending a text message to 7999.
