Social media channels set up for new mums

The Sharjah Baby-Friendly Campaign (SBFC) has launched a social media campaign to connect with new mums across the emirate.

The social media platforms will work as a hotline for breastfeeding mothers where they can ask questions about breastfeeding and interact with experienced mother and child healthcare consultants. A group of highly qualified consultants will be available to interact with the public online. It will provide information, facts, photos and reports about the campaign and its activities.

“We are striving to become closer to members of the community, especially women and mothers, We are eager to respond their inquiries with regard to the campaign. We not only aim to raise awareness, but also to dispel myths and misconceptions about breastfeeding and educate people on the scientific and medical facts,” said Dr Hessa Khalfan Al Ghazal, director of the executive committee of the Sharjah Baby-Friendly Campaign.
