ABU DHABI // A flock of quails in the Western Region have been found to be infected with bird flu.
The Emergency and Crisis Management team said it had spotted the outbreak and undertaken containment measures that met international standards, reported state news agency Wam.
The team said it was working with other stakeholders to continuously monitor these cases.
It said its precautionary measures aimed to ensure the safety of the community.
Authorities called on bird keepers and farms owners to contact the Abu Dhabi Government call centre on 800 555 if they have any suspicions about the health of their birds.
