Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid joined a crowd of thousands for lifestyle guru Tony Robbins' highly anticipated Dubai debut on Tuesday.

The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai said the world famous motivational speaker's appearance at the Coca-Cola Arena was just the start of efforts to build a brighter future for society.

Sheikh Mohammed offered his own inspiring message on Twitter after taking his seat among a vast crowd at Dubai's newest entertainment arena at the event, entitled Achieve the Unimaginable.

He said he was among "10,000 aspiring leaders and positive change makers at the biggest motivational event in the region".

"Gathering a crowd of 10,000 is just the beginning to lead societies towards a better future. We have more to come," Sheikh Mohammed said.

It was first announced in February that the author and motivational speaker would host his first live public appearance in the city this year.

Robbins, 59, who has penned books such as Unlimited Power and Awaken the Giant Within, has been joined for the landmark event by singer Alicia Keys.

His three-hour presentation was designed to "unlock and unleash the forces inside that can help you break through any limit and create the quality of life you desire".
