The UAE’s weather bureau has predicted more rain could hit the country early next week. The National Centre of Meteorology has forecast “the probability of some light rainfall” on Monday. It was only last week the country was left counting the cost of the worst flooding to hit the UAE in years. Three days of high winds and heavy rain had forced hundreds to flee their homes while traffic was brought to a standstill. While more rain was predicted for next week, there was some consolation in the fact it was not expected to be as severe as recent downpours. The rain was expected to hit northern parts of the country, coastal areas in particular.
