Old Sharjah explored by Christopher Pike

Life moves at very different pace in the old section of Sharjah. You feel the nostalgia permeating from very stone under your feet as you walk the streets. Everyone seems to know everyone, shop keepers greet pedestrians by name, friendly nods are  exchanged and more often then not a friendly chat ensues. Alleyways are dotted with children playing football and cricket, their mothers yelling at them from apartments above not to get dirty, and to keep out of trouble. The reconstruction efforts that have been ongoing for quite some time are now starting to pay off, and will only continue to make this neighborhood worth  visiting again and again.
