The teams, representing the British Army and German Bundeswehr, played in Aldershot, England on Wednesday to honour 100 years since Christmas 1914, when troops left the trenches during World War I and agreed to a one-day truce, where they are said to have played a football match in no-man’s land between the trenches along the Western Front.
