Take part in a series of weekly workshops at Al Ain Palace Museum that explore the history and heritage of traditional Emirati handicrafts, including Telli embroidery, which uses gold, silver and brightly coloured strings; Khoos palm-leaf weaving for decorations and household items, as well as Sadu weaving, which is used to create shelters and tents.

Cinema Akil and Alserkal Avenue present three films tonight as part of the Nowplaying series. The Sudanese short Nyerkuk tells the story of a 12-year-old boy forced to flee his village, who is taken under the wing of a criminal. Mawlana tells the story of a TV preacher whose credibility is questioned due to his relationship with politicians. Saudi Shorts is the premiere of three shorts and features films about the forced shut-down of a theatre; the relationship between a family's Filipina maid; and their young daughter and, a plane crash set in the 1970s.
