The Kardashians might be one of America’s most famous families, but last week they went back to their Armenian roots.
Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian traveled to the South Caucasus country to baptise their families. Kim baptised her three youngest children, while Kourtney was baptised alongside her three children.
Following the visit, Kourtney, 40, shared an ‘Armenian playlist’ on her lifestyle website Poosh.com, filled with songs she listened to during her trip.
However, the reality star has since been teased online as her playlist contains largely Arabic music, rather than Armenian. On the list are tracks including Lolaak Habibi by Egyptian star Tamer Hosny, Boshret Kheir by Emirati singer Hussain Al Jassmi and Ya Tabtab Wa Dallaa by Lebanese sensation Nancy Ajram.
One Twitter user wrote, “I laughed at it being called an Armenian playlist when 7/8 of the songs are Arabic.”
However, many were quick to jump to the star’s defense, pointing out that she had said the playlist contained a mix of tracks that she had listened to on her trip.
“To be fair she didn’t say it was an ‘Armenian Playlist.’ It’s a playlist for her trip to Armenia. Lord knows my Paris playlist isn’t exclusive to French music,” one fan said on Twitter.
The visit was the first time the star had been back to Armenia since a trip in 2015, in which Kim Kardashian West’s eldest child, North, 7, was baptised. She returned to baptise Saint, 3, Chicago, 1, and Pslam, five months. Kourtney herself was baptised, alongside Mason, 9, Penelope, 7, and Reign, 4.
