The 23rd annual Hollywood Film Awards took place in Beverly Hills on Sunday night, with some of the biggest names in American cinema getting together for the occasion.
The awards have been running since 1997, and are widely considered the "official launch" of the Hollywood film season, which culminates with the Academy Awards.

The awards are decided by an advisory team of Hollywood industry folk, and regularly reflect the Oscar winners for the next year, too (with 130 of the people who received Hollywood Film Awards in the past going on to win Oscars for the same work).
