There are two kinds of people at the Dubai World Cup: those who turn up for the on-track racing and the people who spend the months running up to race day planning a show-stopping outfit. It's the second camp that the Style Stakes celebrates. It's a fashion competition that ran throughout the day on the March 30 races. Click through the gallery above to see all of the winners. Attendees entered themselves into the competition and winners were selected by five style-savvy judges: stylist Kelly Lundberg, designer and fashion critic Noor Breish, milliner Ana Pribylova, Esquire Middle East fashion director Mark McMahon and influencer Tamara Al Gabbani. Hundreds of people entered the 2019 competition, with prizes that amounted to more than Dh250,000. The six categories are: Best Hat, Most Creative Hat, Best Dressed Man, Best Dressed Lady and Best Dressed Couple. A runner-up to Best Dressed Man and Best Dressed Lady is also awarded a prize. Best Hat was awarded to Australian nurse, Conna Tution, who wore blue and golden headgear, "inspired by the desert". Meanwhile, Eksuda Vassakosol scooped Most Creative Hat for her afternoon tea-inspired headpiece. Best Dressed Man was Myles Hamby, with runner-up named as Leon Harris, and the best-dressed couple was Nader Tearab and Zheng-Gi-Ya, who were coordinated in purple. As the sun set, the award of the day was handed out to the Best Dressed Lady. Eleanor Campbell won the 2019 competition. Runner-up was Emma Wells. On judging the competition, Ana Pribylova, the designer behind Ana Bella Millinery, wrote on Instagram: "Congratulations to all the winners of the style awards today at the Dubai World Cup." She added to her highlights: "Eleanor [Campbell] in light blue, a true standout winner for best dressed lady. Some really lovely stories came from the winners, my favourite was from most creative hat winner, and how her 80-year-old Thai Grandma made her Tea Party Hat ".
