Baby Groot, star of Marvel Blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy 2, has been spotted sunning himself on the beach by Dubai's iconic Burj Al Arab.
The diminutive tree-like alien has been in Dubai on a whistle stop promotional tour for the movie, and also had time to check out the Burj Khalifa while he was in town, though he didn’t have time to travel to the top. Vin Diesel, who acted as Baby Groot’s dialogue coach on the latest movie but was unable to join his pal in Dubai, said of his arborial buddy: “I loved the gentle giant aspect of Groot. I loved how enigmatic the character is. He’s been labelled the most interesting character in the Marvel universe because he’s so unique and so different. It’s going to be a real fun ride with Baby Groot.”
When asked about his impressions of his first visit to Dubai, Baby Groot responded: “I am Groot.”
Guardians of the Galaxy 2, which follows Baby Groot and his friends Starlord, Gomora, Drax the Destroyer and Rocket Raccoon on their adventures around the universe as they try to solve the mystery of Starlord's parentage, is in cinemas now.
