Only a band like Coldplay have the nerve to transform a hip-hop classic into a tender ballad. The British rockers saluted fallen Beastie Boy Adam "MCA" Yauch with a lovely cover of Fight For Your Right. Performed at the Hollywood Bowl on the night of Yauch's death last Friday, Martin led from his piano with Will Champion (forgoing drumming duties in favor of the acoustic guitar), guitarist Jonny Buckland and bassist Guy Berryman huddling together for the intimate performance. Say what you will about their music, but the lads from Coldplay have heart.
