The cubist figures of this artist caught my eye so I decided to share them with you on The Art Blog. Mumtaz is a self-taught artist from Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies. She says her inspiration is an attempt to preserve life’s fleeting moments on canvas. “My art is emotionally driven and reflects my enduring interest in the inexpressible mysteries of life,” she says.
Recently added to the stable of artists on Kobo Art, one of Dubai’s online art galleries, Mumtaz describes herself as a lucid dreamer whose “use of rich vibrant colour acts as a sedative for an otherwise electrified mind”
