DUBAI // Dubai has been selected to host the Women’s Forum in 2016 - which is coming to the region for the first time.

The Women’s Forum is the largest gathering for leaders to focus on the advancement of women and the strengthening of their influence in business, government, society, culture and environment.

Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid, the president of the Dubai Women Establishment, the organisation hosting the event, said this is a motive for more efforts to recognise the leadership’s vision.

She praised the leadership’s support to Emirati women’s empowerment in society and their contribution to it.

Mona Al Marri, director general of the Government of Dubai Media Office and chairperson of the board of Dubai Women Establishment, who participated in this year’s forum in Deauville, France, said such a forum will deliver a powerful platform to present future issues with the relevant experts.

“We are committed to make the Women’s Meeting a remarkable event in the forum’s history. With an excellent record in hosting mega international conferences and exhibitions, Dubai will ensure all elements are in place to facilitate fruitful discussions and enable participants to explore new avenues towards achieving our common goals and objectives,” she said.
