Star FM to participate in International Radio Festival in Switzerland

Next month, Star FM's popular morning programme Sabaho, presented by Rania Younis and Hassan Al Sheikh live from their Abu Dhabi studio, will be going international and wafting out of radio speakers worldwide.

For the first time in the history of the International Radio Festival, which will be held in Switzerland from September 4-8, an Arab radio station – broadcasting in Arabic – has been chosen to participate in the annual event.

Star FM (owned by Abu Dhabi Media, which also owns The National) will join 25 other radio stations from several countries including Australia, China, Germany, India, Russia and the US.

During the festival, Sabaho will be broadcast live from 7am to 12pm on September 5 and from 6pm to 8pm on September 6 and 7, with Younis in Switzerland and Al Sheikh in the UAE.

Younis is also the first Arab media presenter from the region to be selected as a guest at the festival, where she will discuss the Arab media scene. Keep your dials on 92.4 FM. – The National staff
