Stone paintings tell a story

  • English
  • Arabic

These two watercolour paintings caught my eye. They are by Indian artist Rajesh Desai and are inspired by Lonar, a saline lake made by a meteorite crater in Maharashtra about 52,000 years ago. Desai generally paints realistic watercolours but these are somehow deeper than that, encompassing history, geography and culture. The paintings are available on Kobo online art gallery. www.koboart.com
