The UAE has condemned the recent Taliban-claimed attacks in Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation denounced the two separate bombings that killed at least 30 people and injured 45 in the country on Tuesday.

The first attack targeted an electoral rally of President Ashraf Ghani in the Parwan Province. The second blast, which killed at least six people, was reported in the centre of the capital Kabul, close to an army base and the US embassy.

The UAE reiterated its support for the Government of Afghanistan in its efforts to confront terrorism, saying that all states must take a firm stance against violence and extremism, reported state news agency Wam.

The Ministry also extended its condolences to the families of those affected and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.
