Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed hosted an iftar reception on Tuesday for doctors who volunteered at the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019.

The event was held at the Al Bateen Palace in Abu Dhabi.

About 20,000 volunteers registered for the Games, with more than 7,500 athletes from 190 countries participating in the week-long event in March.

It was the first Special Olympics Games to take place in the Middle East and the largest sports and humanitarian event recorded.
