UAE weather: Will dew be a factor in India and Pakistan's Asia Cup match?

Highs of 45°C and winds will reach 38kph in coastal regions

Temperatures will reach a high of 45°C across the UAE today, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

All eyes will be on the cricket in Dubai this afternoon, where India take on Pakistan in the Asia Cup.

Temperatures are expected to reach 38°C this afternoon but it will feel closer to 43°C at times.

Cricket fans will be keeping an eye on the level of dew, which can affect bowling, depending how wet the ball is. The dew point, the temperature at which water droplets begin to condense and cause water to form, will be 21°C this afternoon and 25°C this evening.

The weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy at times in the east, which will cause dust to blow over some exposed areas during the day.

The sea will be moderate to slight by the afternoon in the Arabian Gulf while the Oman Sea will be slight to moderate.

Winds will reach 38 kilometres per hour at times in coastal regions and humidity is expected to be as high as 85 per cent.
