The Zayed National Museum is intended to be among Saadiyat Island's most striking developments, with five buildings designed by Norman Foster to evoke the falcons' wings.

The tallest is to be 124 metres. The museum is intended to showcase the history of the Emirates and the life and achievements of Sheikh Zayed, the founding President of the UAE.

It has the British Museum on board as a consulting partner. Piling work has been done but, as with the Louvre and the Guggenheim, a new completion date has not yet been announced. The Zayed National Museum will open after the Louvre, according to TDIC.
