The Amman Opera Festival will present performances of Opera La Boheme during its second round - set to be held in early autumn 2018.
The show will follow the successful inaugural round of the festival, which featured a successful performance of Verdi's La Traviata in July 2017. Amman's historic Roman Amphitheatre was brought to life by Jordanian soprano Zeina Barhoum, who took on the role of star-crossed lover Violetta.
Barhoum is the driving force behind the Amman Opera Festival, aided by support from the event’s patron, Princess Muna Al-Hussein.
La Bohème is based on Frenchman Henri Murger's novel, Scènes de la Vie de Bohème, a collection of vignettes portraying young bohemians living in the Latin Quarter of Paris in the 1840s.
