Live shows may be few and far between, but American singer Halsey proved she's been busy during the pandemic with the upcoming launch of her new make-up brand, About-Face.

With the range of cosmetics available to buy from Monday, January 25, the 10-piece collection can be pre-ordered, and includes lip and eye colours, a setting spray, blending sponge and two cosmetic bags, with prices between $14 and $32.

Fans have also been quick to point out that the initials of About-Face, AF, are the same initials as Halsey’s real name, Ashley Frangipane.

"I always feel the most free when I am creating looks without following any rules," the Without Me singer, 26, said of her first foray into the cosmetics industry. "The beauty industry has norms, but I want to encourage people to challenge those standards and allow things to be imperfect and fun."

The Grammy-nominated star is just the latest in a long line of celebrities who have launched their own beauty brands. Most recently, Jennifer Lopez, who first dipped her toe in the beauty market back in 2002 with her best-selling fragrance Glow by JLo, launched JLo Beauty on Friday, January 1, offering products with an anti-ageing slant.

“This isn’t just a passion project, this is a 30-year dream,” she announced on Instagram of her range, which includes serums, face masks, moisturisers and cleansers. She’s also set to release a line of dietary supplements.

From Drew Barrymore's affordably priced Flower Beauty to Kylie Jenner's billion-dollar Kylie Cosmetics brand, we reveal the celebrity-owned beauty brands for your next beauty splurge.
