UAE’s Top 10 check-in spots revealed by Facebook
ABU DHABI // Facebook has revealed the top 10 places people have checked-in in the UAE, with most of the locations falling in Dubai.
For 2014, the place with the most check-ins was The Dubai Mall, one of the largest shopping malls in the country.
According to statistics on the social networking site Foursquare, a site that allows people to note their locations and share them with friends on other sites like Twitter and Facebook, most people check into Reel Cinemas, the outdoor Dubai Fountain and various coffee shops in the mall.
The Aquarium and Underwater Zoo ranked the 10th on the list.
Also on the list were Dubai Miracle Garden and Atlantis The Palm.
Dubai Miracle Garden is known to be one of most-visited tourist attractions in the city, and has achieved the Largest Vertical Garden certificate by the Guinness Book of World Records last year.
Burj Khalifa, Dubai Marina, Mall of the Emirates and Dubai World Trade Centre are also on the list.
Locations in the capital were Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, which was the sixth most checked into place, and Emirates Palace, ranked ninth.
Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is the world’s first Ferrari branded theme park offering a unique entertainment experience through a winning mix of Ferrari inspired rides and attractions.
It’s main attraction is the Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest rollercoaster with a top speed of 240km/h.
Visitors from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and UAE residents are the most visitors to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Visitors also come from Russia, India and China.
