One of the most recognisable and colourful figures in modern British music, Liam Gallagher, is headed to Yas Island next month to perform with his new rock band, Beady Eye, as part of an international tour.
The band will perform at the Flash Forum on Friday, September 16.
Gallagher formed Beady Eye only weeks after the internationally successful Oasis split in 2009, along with other former Oasis members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock.
The new band made its first public appearance in March at the Glasgow Barrowland, in the UK, before playing to sellout crowds in Britain and embarking on a summer of festival tours across Europe and Asia.
Beady Eye has stuck to its promise not to play any Oasis songs at its concerts, with Gallagher telling Rolling Stone magazine that "Oasis is finished".
Tickets, starting at Dh295, will go on sale shortly, with promoter Flash giving fans who book early a chance to win a trip to see Beady Eye perform in New York in December. They will be available from www.thinkflash.ae
