High humidity could bring fog to UAE, warn forecasters
The National staff
ABU DHABI // Forecasters have warned there is a chance of fog across the country later this week.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said the hot and hazy weather would continue.
The humidity was expected to increase on Monday night, rising to 80 to 95 per cent in coastal areas and 75 to 95 per cent in inland areas.
This could cause fog on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, the centre said.
The maximum temperature in coastal areas would be between 35°C and 41°C, with between 39°C and 42°C in inland areas.
Seas were expected to be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea on Monday, but they could become rougher later in the week.
