Hatta Hospital expansion will cater for 40,000 more people

DUBAI // Rural health services are set to improve with an expansion of Hatta Hospital that will cater for the medical needs of an additional 40,000 people.

The expansion at the Dubai Health Authority facility will see improvements to 33 departments, clinics and specialist units.

An emergency centre is open 24 hours a day and other services such as an adult care centre, family medicine clinic and dentist will also be in line for an upgrade.

Other medical services available at the hospital are the issuing of birth certificates, health cards and medical reports.

“Having such high demand on Hatta Hospital’s services is an indicator that the public’s satisfaction and trust of its doctors and nurses, who work day and night,” said the hospital’s chief executive, Saif Abdulla Al Wali Al Badwawi.

“The expansions allow Hatta Hospital to better provide these services through its clinics, which will include a diabetes centre, heart disease centre and dermatologist.”
