ABU DHABI // Students have been advised to ensure the institutions they attend are licensed so that their qualifications are recognised.
The Ministry of Education on Saturday published a list of licensed institutions and accredited programmes on its website (www.moe.gov.ae) and said that students need see if their institution is on the list, to ensure their degrees are recognised.
Dr Ahmad Belhol Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education, said that educational establishments are licensed and their programmes accredited based on a set of standards aligned with international standards. These are reviewed regularly by an external evaluation committee of international experts, which he said guarantees the quality of academic programmes and the level of graduates. Mohamed Badr Abu Al Ela, director of the Commission for Academic Accreditation, echoed that students should check to see that their university or college is properly registered, reported Aletihad, The National’s Arabic language sister paper.
