ABU DHABI // A Sharjah-based foundation that provides support for orphans is helping more than 1,000 students prepare for the beginning of the new school year.
Al Tamkeen’s ‘School Bag’ project will supply 1,100 orphans across the UAE with school supplies in the form of stationery shop coupons, the state news agency Wam reported.
The project is estimated to cost more than Dh330,000.
The initiative hopes to benefit students from all academic levels.
