About 37,000 volunteers to clean up Dubai

The annual 'Clean Up The World' environmental campaign kicked off in Dubai yesterday.

An environmentally friendly campaign expected to attract tens of thousands of volunteers began yesterday.

Clean Up The World, which will have its main launch in Al Mamzar, Deira, will see about 37,000 people give their time and effort to help clean various parts of Dubai, including labour camps and public beaches.

Over the course of the next four days people will also have the chance to take a closer look at how divers clear rubbish from the ocean.

The event also involves exhibitions, workshops and cultural activities. Clean Up The World ends on Friday.
