ABU DHABI // The Zakat Fund has announced total revenues of Dh129 million in 2014, according to state news agency WAM.

Abdullah bin Aqeeda Al Muhairi, secretary general of the Zakat Fund, attributed the revenue increase to the support of the UAE government.

In particular he thanked the President, Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

General Al Muhairi also underlined the importance of donors in increasing the fund’s revenue.
