The F1 first-and-second placed drivers made headlines with their fractious relationship yet again at Spa, with Rosberg running up against Hamilton on the second lap and effectively torpedoing any chances of his rival teammate challenging in Belgium.
Hamilton said Rosberg caused the crash ‘on purpose’ as he went on to finish second while Hamilton did not finish. The result extended Rosberg’s F1 driver standings lead to 29 points with only seven races in the season remaining.
