Get your street food fix at Madinat Jumeirah’s new Friday brunches
If you’re unable to travel the world to get a filling of your favourite country’s street-side specials, take a seat at the relaunched Friday brunch at Madinat Jumeirah’s Jumeirah Al Qasr and Jumeirah Mina A’Salam hotels to for your global culinary fix.
The Arabian resort in Dubai will bring back its Friday brunch menu, created by Executive Chef Dirk Haltenhof, from October 15.
At Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, Hanaaya and Tortuga restaurants will offer a spread complete with signature dishes inspired by the chefs homeland and prepared at interactive cooking stations.
The expanded terrace will be lined with food trucks and stations offering Kottu from Sri Lanka, wrapped chicken gyros and salad jars at the Mediterranean station and Filipino coconut cakes and spicy egg rolls at the Kabayan corner.
Tortuga will also have a taco and nacho station, while seafood lovers can dig into creating their dishes with a selection of chilled lobster, crab, prawns and fresh oysters. Diners can also opt to create their own sushi along with the chef.
The Jumeirah Al Qasr Brunch will be spread across the The Hide, Al Hambra and Arboretum restaurants. The restaurants will have a molecular cuisine live cooking stations featuring themes like Streets of Bangkok, Orient Express, 1001 nights and Taj Mahal.
The Hide will offer homemade American desserts like apple pie, blueberry cheesecake and s’mores sundaes.
The Jumeirah Mina A’Salam Brunch starts from Dh425, whilw The Jumeirah Al Qasr Brunch is from Dh495, both run from 12.30pm to 4pm. For reservations, visit www.jumeirah.com/madinatjumeirah
