Amateur musicians have an opportunity to shine with a live performance for visitors at The Mall at World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi on Friday, May 19.

Alliance Francaise Abu Dhabi will host the event in which resident musicians are invited to take the stage and showcase their talent for a diverse mall audience.

The free event will be held from 1pm until 11pm at the Public Square on the ground floor of the mall. Visitors can enjoy an eclectic mix of performances from different genres and languages throughout the day.

This year resident musicians will be joined by professional bands Cyberbere and MAM and French artists Françoise Fognini and Pierre Baillot of the TRIBU band.

The event celebrates talent ahead of World Music Day, which is held on June 21. It was launched by the Ministry of France in 1982 and is celebrated all over Europe.

Musicians Day has been organised by department of cultural affairs of the French Embassy in the UAE for the last three years at The Mall.
