Legoland Dubai has announced the arrival of one of the largest models in its amusement park – a red dragon constructed from 230,000 Lego bricks that will be part of The Dragon roller-coaster within Legoland Castle.

At almost four metres long and weighing more than half a tonne, the creature has glowing eyes, a moving head, and smoke billowing from its nostrils.

Following its scheduled October 2016 opening, Legoland Dubai, alongside Legoland Water Park, will be part of Dubai Parks and Resorts. Also within the complex is Motiongate Dubai, a unique theme park showcasing some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Studios and Lionsgate, and a Bollywood park.
