Superstar DJs Fatboy Slim and Benny Benassi will headline the next edition of Zero Gravity’s massive DXBeach festival.

Revered US house music veteran MK will also take top billing at the October 21 event, alongside a sundown set from downtempo duo Zero 7.

A survivor of the late-1990s big beat craze, Fatboy Slim is a proven sand-side party starter, famous for his epic hometown Big Beach Boutique festivals in Brighton, UK.

The DJ otherwise known as Norman Cook has also proved a reliable UAE draw, headlining two editions of the defunct Sandance festival at Atlantis, and last year spinning at the short-lived Pacha Ibiza Dubai.

He will arrive fresh from celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album Better Living Through Chemistry.

Also known as Marc Kinchen, MK is a respected pioneer of the 1990s Detroit scene, and remains in the limelight following recent Lana Del Ray remixes Blue Jeans and Summertime Sadness.

Best recalled for 2003 smash Satisfaction, Italian DJ Benassi has enjoyed mainstream success, with crossover collaborators alongside Kelis, John Legend, Chris Brown and Skrillex.

The mood will be set at sundown with trip hop and acid jazz-influenced Zero 7, remembered for 2001's Mercury nominated debut Simple Things.

The 15-hour party concept DXBeach launched at Zero Gravity in April 2015, with a storming set from Mark Ronson, and last welcomed 6,000 punters this April for Tiësto.

Organisers have confirmed the event will also return on November 18, with a line-up yet to be confirmed.

• DXBeach takes places at Zero Gravity, SkyDive Dubai, on Friday October 21, from noon to 3am. Early bird tickets, priced from Dh225 are on sale now. See www.dxbeach.ae for more.
