Exclusive: Ne-Yo, Nelly and DMX all set for White Dubai’s new season

Ne-Yo, Nelly and DMX will all perform at UAE super-club White Dubai in coming weeks.

Sharp-dressing R&B star Ne-Yo will be the star attraction at the alfresco venue’s relaunch party, performing on Friday, September 16, the centrepiece of a three-day season-opening weekend, which kicks off a day earlier.

The season continues with club sets from hit A-list rappers Nelly on October 1, and DMX a week later, on October 8.

Meanwhile house music fans will welcome a return from Eva Simons, the Dutch vocalist featured on smashes including Afrojack's Take Over Control and will.i.am's This Is Love.

To help solidify its global reputation, the new season will also see White Dubai unveil a high-tech upgrade, promising fresh laser and smoke effects, improved sound and light, dancers sailing from zip lines and more ominous-sounding “bespoke elements of intrigue”.

“Technology changes constantly in this fast paced industry, and staying on top of it is a full time job,” said the club’s general manager Elie Saba.

A raft of guests DJs are expected to be announced soon for the venue’s Thursday nights, which are dedicated to house music.

Nelly and DMX both guest as part of regular weekly night URBN Saturdays, while moving forward Fridays will showcase more commercial fare.
