Abu Dhabi Classic FM is set to broadcast episodes of A History of the World in 100 Objects.

The radio series, produced by the BBC and The British Museum in 2010, is being aired in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority’s exhibition running at Manarat Al Saadiyat until August 1.

“‘We’re thrilled to be able to broadcast some of the finest radio ever made and I’m extremely grateful to TCA Abu Dhabi, the British Museum and BBC Radio International of BBC World Service Group for their cooperation in making this happen,” said Abu Dhabi Classic FM manager Matthew Sansom.

“A History of the World in 100 Objects’ is accessible, engaging and fascinating, and I’m in no doubt that anyone who listens to just one episode will want to see the object itself at Manarat Al Saadiyat.”

The 15-minute episodes will air on Abu Dhabi Classic FM (broadcasting on 91.6 FM in Abu Dhabi, 105.2 FM in Al Ain and 87.9 FM in Dubai) until August 1. Broadcast times are Mondays and Wednesdays at 12.45pm and on Fridays and Saturdays at 11.45am.
