Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney was recently in Sharjah, speaking at the International Government Communication Forum. As a headline speaker, she discussed issues of human rights and the need for transparency in the region, in the face of what Clooney has called an "unprecedented human rights crisis".
Despite a lengthy and successful legal career, Ms Clooney is now most famous for being the wife of Hollywood actor George Clooney, and as a result, is often thrown into the spotlight for her dress sense.
Known for favouring tailored, elegant looks, yesterday she opted to wear the Petra dress by Stella McCartney. Part of the latest Spring/Summer 2016 collections, it is scattered with daisies teamed with a banded waistline. Like many McCartney pieces, it is an interesting mixture of femininity and practicality, perfect for a modern wardrobe.
