Abu Dhabi’s first fashion week kicks off at Yas Mall

Today marks the start of Yas Mall Fashion Week in Abu Dhabi, which will showcase the new autumn/winter 2015 collections from major brands. Runway shows will be held by Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, Laurel and Weill — brands whose stand-alone boutiques are exclusive to Yas Mall, in the region. Debenhams will also present their new brand Nine by Savannah Miller for the first time in the Middle East, and both local and international brands from House of Fraser will be seen on the runway too.

Ted Baker, Hoss Intropia and Gerard Darel will also show their latest collections, along with Juicy Couture, which will introduce its first abaya, set to hit stores this week. Regional icons Taim Al Falasi and Fouz Alfahad will make appearances, as will Joelle Mardinian.
